Carlo Acutis was born in London on May 3rd 1991 but moved to Italy as an infant. Growing up in Italy Carlo quickly became devout in his faith and developed a deep passion for the internet and web design in his schooling years. He sought the emulate the humility and generosity of those he met, especially the Franciscan Order.
When he was 14 Carlo made a website for his parish and won a national competition called "Sarai Volontario" which means "You will be a volunteer". From this he found that beyond the acts of good he performed in his personal life, he could make a deep and lasting impact on the internet. He began to develop websites documenting Eucharistic Miracles, Marian Apparitions, Descriptions of Hell, Purgatory, & Paradise, as well as Apparitions of Angels & Demons. His work has spread his love for God far throughout the world.
Sadly at the age of only 15 he developed an intense case of leukemia and rapidly deteriorated, living just long enough for his websites to be debuted at the Church of San Carlo Borromeo in Rome. He passed away on the 12th of October 2006 and was Beatified on the 10th of October 2020. His feast day is the 12th of October and he and now has two recognized miracles, both of which are in the Americas.
